Alpharetta Moody Green Home Office Transformation: From Blank Canvas to Stylish Sanctuary

We recently had the pleasure of transforming a blank spare bedroom into a stunning home office that exudes a moody, yet inviting ambiance. This project was all about creating a space that inspires creativity and productivity while also providing a cozy retreat for relaxation. If you work from home, you know how much time you spend in your office! You deserve to have a dedicated space to call your own!
Starting with a blank slate is an exciting prospect. It is always the goal to infuse parts of our client’s personality into the design and elevate the possibilities of what a room can become. Our client is in IT so they needed plenty of room to hold computers and office equipment. During our initial consultation, one of the things that stood out to was that they had customized wood paneling on their computer. That little detail formed the idea of having a statement wood panel wall.
The focal point of the room is the starburst wood panel feature wall. This eye-catching design adds depth and texture to the space, creating a sense of drama and sophistication. The added element of having the woodwork continue up the ceiling only adds to the drama. The rich green hue of the walls complements the wood paneling beautifully, adding a touch of luxury and warmth to the room.
To maximize functionality, we incorporated a custom bookshelf wall that serves as a stylish display for books and decor. To add comfort and texture, a leather chair adds character and comfort to the office space. It serves as a great spot to relax and unwind after a long day of work! When styling rooms we love to incorporate personal items to our rooms that are meaningful to our clients. We used books from some of their favorite travels to add personalized detail to the shelves.
One of the key design decisions we made was to remove the closet to make room for a secondary desk space. This addition allows for two separate workstations, perfect for sharing the office or for accommodating different tasks simultaneously. The dual desks offer flexibility and efficiency, making it easy to stay organized and focused throughout the day. This space will also be housing the printer and shredder- keeping bulky pieces of equipment tucked away.
